RAINY DAY (feat. SISSOCIALMEDIA)

Hi guys! Back again with another photo set! Last week I met with SISSOCIALMEDIA - two sisters who run social media accounts and promote growth and brand awareness to their clients.

I was super excited to shoot with these ladies and learn about the work that they do! We discussed the freelancing market, its difficulties, and just life in general. We came to several important points that help drive our businesses:

1. Networking

This is first and foremost the most important thing you can do for any business but especially for freelance creatives. Talk to people.. literally anywhere! You never really know who you will meet where you are. If you are a little shy with new people then take deep breaths to calm your nerves, and embrace the discomfort - you'll be happy you did!

2. Authenticity

People can smell inauthenticity from a mile away. Being true to who you are as a brand, influencer, or literally any business is the best course to follow. People are attracted to emotional exchanges that are real and genuine. This is always tricky when first starting a brand because you may see things that you like (graphics or branding) but it may not necessarily attract your ideal client or represent you properly.

Our first stop was Happy Days Cafe - a cute little cafe that has the BEST churros ever!! They also have an amazing Mint Latte.

After we went to Happy Days, we walked around the area - we were waiting for the rain to stop a little! While we were waiting we went into a cute little bar to grab a drink. There, we continued to talk about our journey leading up to where we are now.

I always like hearing about people's journeys - where they come from, their passions and struggles - all of it.
